Changing Configuration Names During CopyTree - Copy Tree

Hello

Our configuration names contain the file name and are used by our CAPM.
We often forget to rename the configuration(s) during a copytree to create a new part/assembly from a similar design.
Is it possible to modify/configure the native EPDM tool to force the renaming of configurations (ideally by doing a replace as for the file names, but any kind of rename could already be good)??
If, by mistake, the designer forgets to rename the configuration(s), we end up with errors in nomenclature, this is painful and costly.

Hello
Natively, except with the tasks, I don't see in a simple way. Then there are the macros (but as for another subject it's user dependent for use) if not the addins but there you have to have something to code and the permissions on the workstation to be able to launch it (depends on the different workstation security tools)

Hello

Following contact with Visiativ, it doesn't exist and it's not planned for the moment.

I created an enhancement request at Solidworks

Hello @froussel,

This article provides interesting information and suggests that it's best to use the configuration-specific PartNumber property to identify a design variant.
This is writable for SW PDM (which is not the case for the configuration name).
