Modify solidworks properties from excel

Hello, I searched but didn't really find an answer and especially not find something that works 100%.

I would like to open a part file or a solidworks assembly file from an excel list and modify the file properties with the cell data from excel

Apart from knowing how to program your own VBA code for that,

It seems to me that there is no function to be able to do this.

Otherwise on the Mycad utility side there is PilotAssembly which could respond to your request depending on the exact use you need.

??? The solutions given are "viable" as you say, you have to program a macro or look at the MyCAD tools!!
