Hello

 

When you make a polyline with Drafsight, by defining its properties (width start, end etc.), you can no longer modify it once drawn

its properties remain frozen despite the cursor flashing in the properties menu

You can modify a polyline in Drafsight.

 

The editpolyline command allows you to do this (type in the command line) or then Edit->Entity->Polyline menu

 

It is then possible to:

  • Open a closed polyline
  • Close an open polyline
  • Link a polyline to another entity
  • Change the dimension of the polyline
  • Edit each point that makes up the polyline.

 

If you wish, here is the link to a video that shows how to edit a polyline. It's in English, but with the images, you understand well, even if you don't speak the language of Shakespeare.

I extracted what seems to me to be your answer:

 

"To use the EditPolyLine command, you can choose the icon from the Modify toolbar, select Modify>Entity>PolyLine from the pull down menu, or type EditPolyLine at the command prompt.  Once the command is activated, you will be asked to select a PolyLilne to edit.  Here's the tricky part.  You haven't created a PolyLine yet, you've only created Lines (and/or Arcs)."

it's almost good

 

My problem is that I make arrows with the polylines by changing the width of the beginning and the width of the end

Indeed, by typing the command or by the menu you can modify the polyline but impossible to change the width of the beginning or the end, Draftsight modifies the width without taking into account the parameters of the beginning and end

 

Did I miss something?

Ha ok, so the problem is to change only the start and end width.

I don't know if it's possible... But to be sure, I'll test in DrafSight to make sure.

I'll get back to you as soon as I've done this test...

Well, I tried without success... Indeed, I can't change the start or end widths either. I can only do it in a global way.
