Mechanical welding module

I am led to use the mechanical-welding module, which I know very little. Is it possible to apply linear repetitions to elements?

Practically I have a kind of ladder to make, so 2 uprights with rungs (24 is not bad). I modeled one with its welds. Do I have to start all over again for each of them or can I repeat it by specifying the step as in a classic model? The repetition tools do not seem to be very cooperative .....   (SW 2019 SP5.0).

Thank you and have a great end of the day

Hello Pierre,

This works very well (see PC).

Method:

- in a sketch, create 3 lines (the 2 uprights and the first rung)

- create profiles with welded construction functions, 1st group uprights, 2nd group first rung,

- Use a linear repetition of bodies to duplicate the rung.

Unfortunately, I can't provide you with my file because I'm under SW2021.

I hope this helps you achieve your project.

Have a nice day.

Hello Pierre,

Yes I agree with a.eriaud, it works very well, but on my side pay attention to the solder seams that slow down your pc and weigh down the file, a tip if it's not necessary on your 3d, indicate it on your drawing it works very well.

Have a nice day, @+.

Hello

Indeed, it works now. I have redone the example of A.Eriaud without any problem. I must have missed a step, it's a module that I use very little, unlike the others.

Thank you very much and have a great day
