Hello
I would like to display 2 descriptions in the solidworks model tree... Is this possible?
I tried to edit the properties file by adding a line with 2 properties and separating them with a space, a comma, a semicolon... that I can select from the system options, but the properties don't show up in the tree.
Do you have a solution to solve this problem please?
Thanks in advance,
Lionel
Well, it's while writing these lines that I had the idea of creating a single property that automatically takes over several other properties.
To explain a little: My concern is that in my company, we have 3 important variables: Plan number, ERP code (if this document is codified in our ERP) and the designation.
The assembly department uses our edrawing to know the different parts to be assembled and therefore are likely to use either the plan number or the ERP code... They want the properties to be displayed just by hovering the mouse over a component of the edrawing.
And in the edrawing that I create, it is not possible to make the custom properties of the different parts appear.

So I got around the problem by creating a "buffer" property that includes my 3 properties. It is then this "buffer" property that I display in my model tree by showing the descriptions of the components after choosing the "buffer" property as the description in the system options.
And so, in the created edrawing, this "buffer" property is displayed by just hovering the mouse over the component.
I just have to test all this to see how effective this solution is.
