Mussel

Hello, following the Weiss competition, I tore my hair out to make a mold.

I didn't succeed in the end, so I couldn't send my proposals... :/

For the future, I would like to understand this function because I thought it was simpler than that.

If anyone has a good tutorial on this, I'm interested!

Thank you Pierre-Marie.

The help I read, I would have liked to have had a video tutorial. In French if possible, because I couldn't find anything this weekend.

Or maybe I did it wrong to draw my model.

Hi Bart,

I made it simpler! I drew my tablet with its drafts, then I extruded a larger volume,  on top, corresponding to the outer volume of my mold, without merging the bodies. Finally, I combined these 2 bodies to subtract the volume of the tablet from the volume of the mold!!

If necessary, all that remains is to make a shell.

Do you understand? :)

Edit, with example SW13, all in 1 file, managed by configurations.

What a shame Bart! :(

That's what I did!

I drew my tablet, I added a volume without merging.

Then I combined by subtracting, but as my piece was composed of repetition, he didn't want to subtract me...

You're surprising me there! I also had repetitions, and I didn't have any problems since it was a volume subtraction. Normally, the way it is done is not a factor.

Weird, weird...

And above all, a shame... ;(

I will attach to you one of the tests I have done.

See if you want to do something^^

Yes it's a shame, but I tell myself that there will still be plenty of competitions!! =)

Hi Bart,

I did like Benoit.LF, the finished tablet with drafts and shelves.

A second, larger room with a solid volume.

An assembly of the 2 and a subtraction in the assembly.

When I don't want to, I play with the precision of the parts.

I don't know if it's available on SW.

@Bart, if you send a file, do a STEP, we're not all in SW14 or 15! Or even not in SW! ;)
