(myCADtools) :D update an assembly with Project Manager by modifying the properties of the

Hi all

We use the myCADtools add-ons:
-ProjectManager to export assemblies

-SmartProperties to modify properties related to drawings

I would like to know if it was possible to modify SmartProperties (e.g. deadline or deal number) when exporting an assembly? Because after exporting the assembly, I have to modify the properties for each document.

Thank you for your help.

Kind regards.

Hello;
To do this, use the " Property " tab.
Keep in mind that the executions are done in order (from top to bottom).

  1. Remove the property you want to replace
  2. Recreate your property with your new value...

Pay attention to document types if you manage your parts, assemblies, and drawings differently.

Example used by us:

Note: I am directly using the links (property: " Path ") to the Smartproperties " masks " (*.XML) of the new " Deal ".

Otherwise it is still possible to modify your properties with " Integration " after your copy...
the " Integration " tool (Visiativ) will give you more latitude to modify your properties.

Kind regards.

To complete @Maclane you can also modify them in batch via batchproperties if you have the same business number but the easiest way is to do it in project manager.

Thank you for your clear answer!

I don't have access to our Smartproperties custom properties (example deal number), where do you find the Smartproperties "masks" to assign them via the "path"?

Thank you very much for your help.

The 1st thing to check is the type of property you want to change in smartproperties.
In view of your screen print, no mask (Linking to other Xml file)

In this case, if one or more text properties are very easy, you open project manager, you get your open assembly and you go to the property tab, then add, and you put the name of the property and the desired value, see example attached:

If necessary, if the client name is related to a property type other than text, adjust the type.
For your information, here is the help of the software which is rather well done:
