NAS with EPDM

Hello

I would have liked to know if it was possible to use a NAS to save the EPDM safe.

We have servers and currently it is not possible to change the available space.

only we used 40GB of data in a few months...

and there is only 15GB left.

Is it possible to put the data folder on a NAS flight?

For the moment we cannot change servers but we are waiting for a new one which could be ordered in July. (15K€)

but at the EPDM level we can't wait and we have to have storage space...

Yours truly,

Hello, it is indeed possible to use a database on a NAS, I am looking for documentation on this subject.

I guess we can do the test quite easily by moving the safe to the NAS and changing the name?

the people who installed this told us that it was not possible to do this with a NAS.....

Thank you for the competence.

ok it's not under maintenance by solidworks if we use a NAS but while waiting for our new server we don't know how to do otherwise...

To reduce the file size on the server, see also this link:

It seems to me that there was an option to delete the temporary files for the EPDM friends I can't find anymore!

In particular:

Open the EPDM Admin Tool and go to Cold Storage Schemas - it is all pretty self-evident there. Delete Archive Files, Number of Versions to keep, Never remove Revisions...   I run it once a week but you may want every day.

To keep Revisions, you need a workflow state that stamps files as Revisions - Probably just when your project is finalized.

Hello

we have transferred to a SIN

but we notice that archiving is no longer possible...

I have a message telling me that I don't have the rights.

we have a synology NAS

Could some NAS not work?

Should access restrictions be removed?

thank you in advance

It's probably better to close this question and open a new one (more visibility). Please choose one of my answers if I helped.

FYI we ended up installing on the NAS and it works. There was a right in writing that was not given...

now a test period... but I still have problems with my PC crashing 3-4 times a day... which is quite annoying...

I have a DELL M6800 PC and we'll look for a better PC.

I'm going to start another topic...
