when I launch Solidworks and try to do the activation by internet I get a message: "the maximum number of activations is exceeded" what does that mean?

Each serial number has 2 activations.
A "professional" activation and a "home" activation. Home activation is for personal use at your home.
When you get the message "Themaximum activation number has been exceeded" it means that your license has already been activated twice. Maybe you forgot to transfer your license before changing stations. If you still have access to your station, you need to start SolidWorks, go to the "?" menu and choose the "Transfer License" line. In the event that your station is no longer accessible, you must contact your dealer to resolve the problem.
This problem can also occur if you format your station without having transferred the license.

thank you fantunes indeed I had just changed station and had not disabled the software on my old one, it works perfectly
