Solidworks BOM Gather All Parts in One Name

Hello

 

I have a main assembly with several sub-assemblies and parts. In BOM type I use ''Parts only'' because I need to have the majority of parts with their custom property. On the other hand, there are some parts (or example a door stop) that I don't need all  the part numbers, I would only like to have in this case the main name of the subassembly.

So I'd like to keep almost all my part names but for a few I'd like to group them together. What way did you suggest me?

(and I don't think that the ''list in tab'' solution is relevant when I don't want most of the assembly names not relevant in my nomenclature e.g. ass001 ass005 etc)

In the configuration menu, right click on the config, then property, check the "promote" or "hide" option as needed ;-)

Or exclude components/subsets, right-click/property and then exclude from BOM

We talked about the opposite problem but the method is the same: display components but not together
