Hello
Is it possible to highlight a note in the tree in an assembly, or an information message when opening an assembly?
E.g. we open an assembly and we want to inform that a certain part, or something like that, is missing.
Ps: I have owned Solidworks 2016 for 1 week.
Thank you.

Yes, if you do, insertion/annotations.
You can insert notes wherever you want.

Hello
The easiest way is to create a note:

Edit: since 2016 it is possible to put a watermark in the 3D (also called watermark):

Hello
I often use the comments or the design binder, it allows me to keep a memory of past work, and also to transmit information.
may the force be with you.

I took Bart 's technique but when I insert a note, it disappears once I validate it!!

In the left pane, you have to right-click on annotations and select "file annotations"

Hello
I do the same thing as Bart; I put notes in the assemblies (keyboard shortcut J).
