New design challenge!

I agree with you, the subject is not simple, it's to tear out the few hairs I have left
I'm convinced that someone will have a brilliant idea, the hardest part will certainly be the work of the jury!

Hello @Sylk Sylk,
Yes, it is possible to make several proposals

Yes, not easy because a logo (even if it is used incidentally as a mascot) is not the same as a mascot.

The logo is thickened 2 D while a mascot is volume three 3.

The difference between the two is comparing a sandwich bread with a slice of the same sandwich bread.

So you have to choose for the competition between a mascot rusk or an unsliced sandwich bread.

In the case of rusk, it is easier to make communication objects such as a logo.

The winner will have to have some hell of a biscottos to win :mechanical_arm: :muscle:

Good to peel

For my part, first of all, I made a logo, because I think you need one in addition to the mascot.
Maybe it won't win me any prize in this challenge but never mind, it's essential.

[… OK, I'm going out ->]
Note, I just noticed that it is possible to reduce the images by clicking on them in the right panel... We learn more every day...

Hi all

Indeed, the definition of the word "mascot" is very broad! It can be just a symbol or something abstract! A mascot is not necessarily a human or animal representation...!

I tried a first proposal, it's not easy though...

Congratulations @DoubleL ! Very successful as a first proposal  Even if my subject is indeed not simple...

Hi all

In order to help you in your research and simplify your designs, here are some well-known mascots that you can take as an example

Good luck to all!

Hi all
Thank you to the first participants for your proposals! However, be careful not to plagiarize the Lynkoa logo...! The goal is to create a mascot (a personification of the community) and not a logo

New mascot idea

If I understood correctly, the mascot must be made under SW or Catia. The geometry in this case should be rather simple. I don't know Catia but under SW all these examples are unfeasible or require an unreasonable modeling time.
From experience, to have good results, this kind of challenge must be done in two phases. Being a good artist and knowing SW at the same time is rare.

Well vi!

That's why we asked for clarifications. in our interactions with @DoubleL

For me who doesn't use a NURBS modeler, it's mission impossible unless I'm doing something ugly.

In addition, it must not be gendered so as not to attract the wrath of the zeecological-pseudo-feminist. So the solution is to make an angel since we don't know their gender.

@soring then you underestimate yourself :sunglasses:

I suggest that our mascot be named CADix if it has velvet eyes

@Zozo_mp yes, CADx label

@Zozo_mp , @Sylk I love you can't be beaten on the name of the mascot I think!
@Coralie quick question, I hope the mascot will be made at future myCAD events? I want to take too much of a photo with a CADx label!!
As a magician I sometimes disguise myself, (clown, pirate, Santa Claus when the real one is not available) so if I have to I stick  to it (on the other hand it will take a large size...)

Of course @DoubleL !! A life-size mascot is the dream! She will have the chance to accompany us from everywhere

Hello @Coralie
Is it possible for us to edit our participation after submission?
For example, if I post a sldprt, can I come back later to add renditions, or change the description, or update the sldprt file?

Hello @Sylk ,

Yes, absolutely, it is possible to modify your proposal! Do not hesitate to write to me in case you do not succeed

I don't have one for myself, so think that I'm not going to rack my brains the little I have,
I leave my place to an adequate brain!!
And I'm not superstitious, it's bad luck!!
