New CAD forum: test it and give us your feedback!

Hi all!

We are very pleased to announce the launch of this new CAD forum!
More intuitive, more efficient, instant exchanges... Everything you need to work better on Lynkoa!

A few clarifications following the launch of this new forum and your feedback:

  • This new forum opens independently of the Lynkoa website : a new tab opens and gives you access to the forum. In order to keep the site, you are advised to keep the 2 tabs so that you can juggle between the different services of the platform. If you ever close the Lynkoa site tab, you will have to reopen it later.

:exclamation:For information: a button allowing you to return to the Lynkoa site from the forum will be installed very soon in order to avoid these comings and goings

  • In order to provide us with your feedback and improvements, you can create a question and categorize it as "Feedback" so that all are listed in one place.

I'll give you new tips on the forum as you use it
Enjoy your test on the forum!
Coralie

The site looks promising, even if we also witnessed the 1st crash around 10:30 am, with the impossibility of connecting temporarily.
For the rest we'll see as you use it, but it's much more frendly than the previous interface. :slightly_smiling_face:

Hello @sbadenis,
Yes all our apologies for this crash, the platform had to be restarted following the changes that had to be made! Glad to hear that you like this interface! Changes will also be faster to make now

On my side the forum is extremely long to load, no matter where I click, with chrome or firefox

Hello
Similar. First big disappointment; The site pedals by grinding in semolina...
I am afraid that I will not be able to appreciate the positive aspects of the forum until this problem is resolved.

PS: at least the sending of the replies is much more responsive than before.
PS2: well on the other hand I have an error message that I start to like when I save the changes to the message or the profile: 405 Method Not Allowed
I don't know if it's a restriction that prevents us from posting or modifying or I don't know what more than once every XX minutes...

Same I find it really nice, so I look at it with the smartphone and from there I find it a bit weird that it's the avatar of the last person who answers that appears. Unless I'm wrong... I just checked and that's it... It is the avatar of the last editor who appears, not the one who posted

We have some small problems with settings, yes it's very slow, 17 seconds to open a post. The technical teams are on it.

Hello
We had some configuration difficulties on this first day of using the new forum. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.
We have finalised the settings and the slowness has disappeared, the navigation is fluid
Thank you for your feedback!

Hello. Thank you for correcting the slowness issues.
However, I can only log in from the phone. Since the computer I have errors 404 and 403. Which persist by trying to reload the home, for several minutes or hours, as if trying to log me banned my ip for a while...
When this time is over I can access the reception again, but if I try to log in, again...

Hello @Sylk,
Sorry for these behaviors. In order to understand, could you give me your IP address in PM?
Have a nice day.

Hello everyone and congratulations on the new forum.

I can imagine that the problems of slowness and accessibility will be solved soon.
Overall the interface is interesting, the only downside for me, the dark mode. It doesn't seem very readable to me and the contrast between black background and white frame is not great. I'm staying in the clear mode for the moment, a little regretfully.

Hello Joris,
Surprisingly, you must be in " dark " mode by default; To change this, simply go to your profile, in the " preference " and then " interface " section and modify the color scheme as shown in the image

In the story I lost my avatar image on the forum, but not on Lynkoa, a reason (not enough pixels, too many pixels...)? How to reintegrate it?

Hello Coralie,

I went back to my cad light mode (default) because I found the dark and WCAG Dark modes not very readable, as on the screenshot below

Hello @sbadenis,
Damn, I'm bringing this problem up! Normally if you have it from Lynkoa you should have it on the forum because your profile depends on Lynkoa's! I'll keep you informed!

I think there is also a bug, when refreshing the page in dark mode, the 1st message that appears has a black background and after 5 if it goes back to white on its own, like the rest of the messages on the page
