Hello
When a bill of materials is inserted, the numbering of the items is automatic.
If a line is deleted, the numbering does not automatically revert in increments of 1, there is a number break.
Is there a solution?

Hello n.delfranco,
A small screenshot and SW version would be more meaningful.
Kind regards.

Hello again,
I have the SW 2020 SP4 version, the only solution to do it quickly and well without touching the nomenclature which would be a shame.
So see screenshot:
1 - click on the component of the 3D assembly, which you do not want in the BOM.
2- Go to the drawing and re-insert the nomenclature and that's it.
Good luck.

Hello Thank you for this solution.
I had it in mind. Normally it's cleaner and should work like this.
My version of solidworks 2021 SP5.1.
In the attached image, we see that the numbering starts at 3 because the first 2 lines are deleted
I agree with AR, you have to exclude them from 3D if you're sure you don't want them in 2D.
Otherwise, before deleting the lines in the nomenclature, you have to move them to the end so that you won't see that the last numbers have been skipped.
Hello n.delfranco,
Well then I have no other solution, except for this.
Kind regards.

Thank you.
That's actually what we did, move them to the end before we delete them.
