When drawing parts, we sometimes create several tabs (Check, fab, Exé plan, DOE... etc). For the visual and in order to avoid changes to the wrong tabs, can we put (as in excel), a color to the tab, or even lock it? (We are on solidworks 2013).

To my knowledge, this is not possible. This feature does not exist (on SW2016 and nothing like it on 2017), I think the easiest way is to make a plan by type of execution (even if less "simple" on a daily basis) and manage access by rights if possible in order to avoid any modification by "unauthorized" users.

You can also rename your tabs with Check, fab, Exé plan, DOE... etc
When I want a hanger to stand out from the crowd, I either have stars or sharp in front and behind.
I'm already renaming them but for some it's not clear enough :/ I'll try the idea of the extra signs, thank you! ^^
