Operation, quotation and constraint

Hello

Following a disk crash I was reinstalled solidworks 2012.

Since Unable to perform an operation (+,-,x) within a constraint dimension to modify the dimension or in the "modify" window in a sketch dimension.

I tried to remove the mm but it doesn't work any better

Is there an option to tick?

Thank you in advance.

Did you reinstall all the maintenance with it? Or are you in sp0?

Hello

This is indeed one of the known bugs of the first SPs of the 2012 version!

I can't find the link that talks about it, but an update to SP5 will solve the problem!

I just installed the SP5.0, it still doesn't work, in fact I realized that the problem was general, in each field where you enter a dimension you can't do an operation. Hello depression...

Basic question. But after installing the SP5, did you restart Solidworks/the computer? So that everything is well taken into account

It happened to me just last night.

I don't know if it's related, but I had opened Solidworks 2x and so my post didn't like it.

Stupid question..... Is Digital Lock enabled?^^

Please check if you have installed the Microsoft KB3072630 from Windows Update, like this:

1.         To open Windows Update, click the Start button .Image du bouton Démarrer In the search box, type Update, and then, in the list of results, click Windows Update.

2.         In the left pane, click View Update History.

If so, you should uninstall it by following this tutorial:

If it doesn't work, you can reset the SolidWorks settings (which you can restore later) to determine if it comes from the configuration of the workstation: http://www.lynkoa.com/tutos/3d/reinitialiser-les-parametres-solidworks

At the time for me, in fact, this is a known problem that has no solution when Office 2013 (or higher?) is installed with an older version of SolidWorks (before 2013).

SPR #: 714468

Summary: Math operations in pop up distance mate dimension box do not solve with office 2013 installed

Hello, after reading your answers and consulting the hotline, I was able to solve my problem.

It was .PL who had the right explanation, the remedy on the other hand can be different, especially without entering the registry.

-Uninstall KB3072630, via config panel, windows update, Installed updates (bottom left), search for KB3072630 in the search field (top right) and then uninstall.

- Repair the installation, via config panel, programs and features, modify, repair the installation.

-Restart

-Reinstall KB3072630, via config panel, windows update, updates available on computer (it offers you KB 3072630).

-I restarted (not sure if it's necessary).

-And miraculously, everything works.

Thank you all

I forgot a little thing

When I say repair installation, I mean SOLIDWORKS installation...
