My problem is just that I don't have access to the default thread of the program, I'm missing the file and apparently several people have the same problem as me.
I understand your difficulty because I have struggled recently on the subject.
Ignores the first message as it is only an indication for NC machines in particular that would use the native SW part file as this can cause errors.
You also need to activate the toolbox for it to work (I don't know why but that's the way it is, because once activated you have all the filters you want).
Then you have to reason about the edges and not about the surface that the cylinder represents.
The faces are those perpendicular to the central axis. You have to select the start and end one.
Make your throats at the end of the net well which must be slightly deeper than the bottom of the fliet otherwise a hassle guaranteed.
Finally, pay attention to the threading method, in my case I used "Cut the thread" and "vertical symmetry". Otherwise it makes you shit.
Another feature that was developed without talking to a turner in a workshop
Here's a part that shows you how to use the feature. Do different tests you will quickly see what to do and what not to do.
In the thread specification, I have nothing, and SW tells me that I have to modify the nominals to be able to select them afterwards by saving them, is that right? If so, can someone guide me to encode them? thank you in advance
In fact I know how to do the thread but in SW I don't have the defined and default settings that SW offers at the base! Everything is white as if my files were empty.
I looked on the net and fixed the program, nothing helped.
My son has a student version and at home no worries,
I'm trying to find the file on the C:/ that can't be found... When I go to the options to check the location of the file, my son has a correct path that is different from my version. I thought of taking this file but I can't find the path to give, is it a protection? I'm a little lost
As the file location path in SW is not good at home and I couldn't find it... In fact, you just have to change a parameter in Windows to find this famous file (hidden by the C:/ ProgramData)
I will do it when my PC has come back from the maintenance.
Now I need to put the correct ThreadProfiles file location (which was hidden by the C:/) back in solidworks!
