Solidworks 2015 Laptop

Hi all

I am currently looking for a laptop to use solidworks 2015 daily.

I have a budget between 1000 and 1500 euros, I can go up to 2000 euros but only if the deal is worth it!

Added to that, I have only one constraint, the computer must be a 15 inches.

I found a lot of references but I would like to have the opinions of your references with the pros and cons.

Thank you in advance for your help.

I wanted to know at the same time if a good gaming computer can do it or is it not recommended?

it's cheaper and efficient but I don't know if it's optimized for 3D design

Thank you

In these prices, a Mac can be great!

The screen resolution is great, much better than with most PCs.

All you have to do is put a partition in Windows to be able to run SolidWorks.

A mac is way too expensive for my need 2700 euros in first price is impossible for me

Hello

I don't see the point of taking a Mac to put windows!!

It doesn't make sense to me...

More and more manufacturers are making portable workstations.

Hello

I've been running with a DELL precision 15 7000 series (see full description in PJ) since the beginning of July 2016 and it works perfectly for SW2015 plus Epdm.

Kind regards

@remrem I did it for a while and unfortunately the windows partition on a mac doesn't handle the fan well, causing overheating. Since then I have installed inventor light (mac edition) and I am satisfied with it

There is still for macs the possibility to use autocad and to have tried (30 days) it works very well on a macbook pro 13.3 (and not a recent one)

but you have to like Autocad......

Thank you all for your help, I think I can find my way around all this!

@Gerald: "But you have to like Autocad...... "

And above all, draw with a 13.3" screen!

Your use of inventor on Mac OS (if I understood correctly) is something else. I completely understand it since you use your mac with its OS.

For SW it's something else entirely, since once again you have to put Windows there. And at  this point, I still don't see why buy a mac at a price not comparable with a more powerful pc all that to change OS...

Hello, @D. Roger, your offer is within @leo.pernin's budget but because you got a nice discount, it's not saying that we're all the same. Even if it's worth inquiring, it's not said that this computer fits into your budget.

Sincerely, have a good week

a nice tool ;-)
