Orientation First Part Imported in a SW 2023 Assembly

Hello, is it possible to orient the first part imported in an assembly along a particular axis? In this case, parallel to z?

The first part of an assembly can be oriented in the desired way.
The method will differ depending on whether you want to make the origins coincide or not.
Be careful, however, that it is strongly recommended for the reconstruction performance of the assembly to "fix" and not to constrain this first part in the assembly.
→ use the "Use for positioning only" option in the constraint property manager.

Proceed as follows:
Drag the component into the assembly graphics window to any location, and then specify a coincidence between the origins without aligning the axes (a check box).
Define parallels or coincidences between the assembly and part planes to achieve the desired orientation.
Checking use "Use for positioning only" does not save the constraints. The component must then be fixed in its position.

Indeed, for Solidworks, the default top plane is the XZ plane and not the XY plane.
If we don't want to go through constraints, one solution is to change the origins of the default models of parts and assemblies to have the Z axis instead of the X axis
