Hello
I am starting a self-build project in a wooden frame.
For the technique, no major problem, it's not new for me (I designed and installed).
On the other hand, we are, with Madame, in the middle of a "fiddling" of neurons to arrange this house and make it nice.
In the idea, we would like something modern, contemporary with rather cubic shapes.
So my question: do you know of any sites where it would be possible to find examples of layouts? The goal is not to rebuild this house but rather to recover a solid base to exploit.
FYI, I searched on Grabcad, on the Sketchup library and a little on the net but I have nothing conclusive.
Thank you all

Hi @ Jose
There you are right in the heart of some of my conceptions
if you go on the net of the (timber frame house) MOB........... There are tons of them
The basis of a good design is already to have the land
which will allow you to manage and optimize the style of your MOB south exposure solar gain
the size your budget, self construction etc...

Hi gt22
I seem to have seen you on forums such as house and wood, and.. So I was expecting your answer:)
In fact, I have a field in sight and it's well underway so I'm trying to find a good base to start.
It's more the "design" side that is blocking.
@Lucas: Thank you for these links, I didn't know about blibliocad but it's very interesting.

and @ Jose
and YES it's ME
I'm also on MBI with the same nickname and there is a while when I'm much less active
I designed, created, optimized and made my MOB alone from A to Z
and gave some help and tips to whoever wanted to
also designed some MOBs, worked for some manufacturers, and particular
to the design, construction, wood and thermal study
so if you have any questions
I probably have some answers ;-))

Are you going to have it built?
or are you going to build yourself?
What is your budget?
What living space?
Which region?
How many inhabitants?
Look before buying the land at the town hall
The SOP and current construction standards
to see the constraints of your new construction
you can switch to MP if you prefer

I admit, it's nice;)
I'm more of a designer person... cubic what, with a small dark wood cladding associated with stone ....
I'll MPerare you (from the verb MP, I MP, you MPS...) when I move forward a little more gt22.

Mine is also cubic with a single-slope roof and a very low slope
The problem with construction is that you can't do what you want
The laws and rules of construction are specific to the region and also often to the neighborhood so it is imperative to know our rights and the permissible limits for the said construction
After that, it's just the development of manufacturing processes
The budget is also an obstacle

I design with the PLU in hand so it helps even if sometimes, it's a bit blurry :/

@jose pay attention to the blur I have a neighbor who was forced to break his house because of a minimum distance between the road and the wall.
It took 5m, it had 4.50.....

Oh, yes... It is indeed a vagueness that is expensive!!
And they didn't say anything when the building permit was filed?
@gt22: Did you build your house yourself?

Ehhh bahh!
Damn brave!
I'd actually like to do the same thing, with the mobile hom on the ground and forward the stories:)
It was my job 2 years ago so it doesn't scare me more than that, it's more the design side since I think I'll do without an architect.
In any case, nice ball!

Be careful if you don't want architecture
Make sure you only have 169 m² of living space
otherwise you have to take one if only to sign the plans
for the design I am at your disposal if you wish
