I have a few files made on TopSolid V5 with the extension .d3d and I can't open this type of file with version 6.15. Could someone tell me version 7 is possible or do I have to look for version 5 to be able to recover my files??

hum from what I've read it may be a problem of corrupted file... pr against @gt22 the error message talks about filter selected!? Wouldn't that be a lead??? (I don't know Coreldraw at all...)

yes it's possible I've done several tries and always the same story
or it tells me the filter select
or it tells me can't open possible file not supported

Ok, But it surprises me because I am told that the files that were given to me are made from TopSolid. I have files in .d3d, #3d and .b3d. Of these 3 extensions, only TopSolid recognizes .d3d. But when we search the web, we are told that it is with CorelDraw..... Bizare
So basically you're saying that with Topsolid you can't open a file created with Topsolid??? Ask your provider which version they are using!?

The provider tells me that I would need the v5 version of Topsolid to be able to open these files and then convert them. But I'm hesitant to buy an earlier version for a few files....
No V5 installed on the old workstations, impossible to test, but confirmation on file for topsolid V5:

If not, see if he can't make another format that would be accessible, like a native format like parasolid for Solidworks!

I couldn't download the file because it was in htm but by renaming it to D3D it works.
