Opening an assembly plan

Hello

When opening an assembly plan, I get the following message.

"An error occurred while opening your file. Contact technical support to try to find a solution."

No more access to the file.

How can I fix the problem?

I've already had this problem in the past.

The procedure I was given is as follows.

Removed state of all components

Opening of the drawing and deletion of quotations

Saving the drawing

Reactivating Components in the Deleted State

Reconstruction of the drawing

Re-import of dimensions via "Inserting > Model Objects"

Saving the drawing.

Hello

See if you have an automatic backup in C== > temp, maybe there will be a backup of your MEP

In order:
- turn off and restart the machine;
- make a copy of all the files for backup (try to make a pack'n go)
- try to open the assembly;
    + if it works, put it in solved and save then try to open the MEP
    + if it doesn't work, try to open the parts. If all the parts don't have a problem, it's the asm that screws up (if not in a hurry and maintenance contract, contact the support sometimes they work miracles).

Hello

The problem has happened to me many times before!

Here's how I try to fix it:

  • Have another computer open the file (this sometimes works)
  • Close all solidworks processes using the mycadtool tool and re-open the file
  • Open the drawing from 3D
  • Recover the automatic backup (last resort for me)

Otherwise after all this I still don't have my file, I only have my eyes left to cry and start again.

I hope for you that you manage to recover your file, I know this frustration of starting a plan again after this error^^

Kind regards

Hello

You can also try to open the file in "Light" or "Quick Aprecu" mode, then load it after.

Thank you for your feedback.

I have not been able to solve the problem.

If I find the solution to my problem, I'll put it in the comments.

Kind regards
