DXF Opening That Doesn't Open to AutoCad

Hello everyone!

I sometimes draw on AutoCad and often I have to open DXF files of my patterns which draw on ProFirst, but often when I open their files I can't do it, a message appears telling me to press enter and then nothing the part doesn't open, and I have no problem with their DWG file for example, anyone know where this problem can come from please? I'm working on the 2016 version of autocad lite.

The only possible reason I see is that your boss saves the DXF in a version higher than 2016, for this reason that if people are going to exchange files, you should aim for a 2000 or 2010 version to give all the chances of opening.
