Pack and go, using old file out of pack and go

Hello

I make a pack and go from an assembly and I indicate that you have to keep all the structure of the folders.

Only when I go to the pack and go and open the assembly from this new file, some subsets are used in the original folder.
However, these sets are present in the Pack and Go, but SolidWorks does not use them.

I didn't add a suffix or prefix...

Do you know how to force SOLIDWORKS to search only in the Pack and Go folder that I just created?

Thank you in advance for your answer and your help.

I saw that some files are not checked because the target path is too long. Do you know how to solve this? (without changing the path of course  ) with 64bits normally the path may be longer...

Hello @bricesk_2

It's always a problem this kind of manipulation (at least for me)
What I do to make sure I don't mess up, I close all the files before loading the pack and go.

Also I put the pack and GO in a particular folder, to be sure that there is no confusion between the files with the same name.
If your Pack is waterproof compared to any other folder or file with the same name, it should work.

We had a discussion on the subject several years ago, I'll see if I can find it

Kind regards

Hello
In addition to @Zozo_mp's answer, if you have a custom design library it is loaded into memory and so SW systematically links to this file whether you have made a pack & go or not (as long as the name is identical).
If you have other files in this same folder, SW is quite stupid and nasty on this one, he doesn't care about the links he has in memory. As soon as it finds a file with the same name in a folder in which it is "working", it will systematically open it.
The only stable way is to add a prefix or suffix (and even then it still bugs depending on the versions and SP of SW)
