Default VPN and telecommuting

   Hi all

My company wants to set up teleworking for 8 of our employees. I am therefore asked to find a way to ensure that these employees can have access to our network in order to have access to the file servers and to be able to remotely control their PCs from home.

Until now we have been using Teamviewer so that they can take remote control of their PC and thus work remotely, but we have already had to suffer some failures of the Teamviewer servers and moreover we have to buy a license every year to have the latest version of teamviewer.

I thought I saw that for telecommuting, the best thing to do is to set up a VPN server. Could you confirm this for me? And if this is true, could you tell me how to do it (I'm not at all specialized in basic networks)?
Is it possible to install a VPN server on a virtual machine?

Thank you in advance for your answers.

Hello

We use teleworking through a VPN.
This allows us to have access to the company network and to use our machines remotely.
For the installation, I can only advise you to refer to a professional. Installing and administering a VPN cannot be improvised, especially if eight people are using it simultaneously.

I advise you to first pay attention to the necessary connections and also pay attention to the remote connection client and the settings.

I find HP RGS interesting.

See you.

Hello

We use teleworking here. We are connected to the VPN to access our network drives but all laptops have SolidWorks installed. All licenses are "online" which  allows any user to borrow any computer, to be able to work and even synchronize their SW settings (display, shortcuts, icons...)

A subcontractor used Google Chrome Remote Desktop
