I am a technical writer and I want to convert an SLDASM file to an SMG on Solidworks Composer for the creation of illustrations in technical documentation.
There are several settings when opening the file on Solidworks Composer, and the rendering in Composer is a bit random depending on what you check or not. I am currently facing a file that is missing some parts at the time of import.
I would like to know if you have any recommendations for settings, in order to be sure that the import is faithful to the original file and that the SMG file is fit for purpose.
Also, do you think that these import problems are related to the original file? I know that for example if there is an exploded on the original file, Solidworks Composer encounters an import bug. In this case, would there be any instructions that I can indicate to my design office in general?
