I'm on Autocad Lt and I need to learn Inventor. Is it very different in use or not? Will I be lost in functions and terms?

No connection between the 2 except that at the exit there is a plan. It's like comparing drawing and sculpture.
If possible, take a training, otherwise take the time to make and redo the integrated tutorials, then possibly those available on youtube and other platforms.
Your biggest concern will be the management of parent/child links between functions and between files (assemblies/subassemblies/parts). On this last point, Inventor is still a little more difficult to grasp than other 3D software.
