Desktop PC + Mobile Station

Hi all

A small call to the community for your opinions and advice on the possibilities of computer configurations.

As a freelancer, I spend 80% of my time on Solidworks. Being regularly on the move to customer sites, or construction sites, a mobile workstation is necessary for me.
I've owned a Zbook 17 G4 laptop (i7 @2.9Ghz / 64GB RAM / SSD / Nvidia Quadro P3000)

This laptop reaches its limits on large assemblies and on simulation studies and it is difficult to find much more powerful and reliable (the current trend is to limit the frequency to increase the number of cores, which does not go in the direction of the way Solidworks works)

I think I might be able to opt for a fixed tower optimized for office work and keep my laptop for travel.

However, I have neither the means, nor the interest, to invest in a second Solidworks license as well as in a PDM.
Is it possible and viable with a single license to constantly switch between 2 PCs?
How do I synchronize my data between the 2 PCs, to have everything available on my laptop when I'm on the move without an available connection?

Thank you in advance for your advice!

Hello

For the license, you must use a floating license managed by your server (which can be your fixed workstation), by default the license will be issued to the 1stworkstation that requests it on the network (your fixed station when you launch SW). Then you can use the SW license manager to make a license print for your laptop when you go on the go.

Hoping it helps you.
