3D PDF with Dimxpert dimensions

Hello

Is it possible to save a part in 3D PDF format while keeping the Dimxpert dimensions?

I only get a 3D PDF of the part alone without any dimensioning.

Thank you in advance.

Stéphane

Hello

I don't think it's possible.

Just like my upstairs neighbor. What is the purpose of the manoeuvre?

@Ac cobra 427, are you back at school with a supervisor?

It's possible with Solidworks MBD

I think the goal is to do like MBD without MBD.

Hello

Thank you for your answers. I'll look into SolidWorks MBD and find out about it.

For coin37coin, the goal is to be able to send the customer a file with the complete assembly and certain dimensions such as max dimensions and certain center distances.

Apparently the eDrawing format allows you to keep the dimxpert dimensions unlike the pdf3d. The advantage of pdf3d is that everyone is supposed to be able to open it. Acrobat Reader is easier to find than e-Drawing Viewer on a pc^^

Hello

Once your edrawing is done, open it with edrawing and have it saved under .exe and see if the dimensions are still visible. If you make edrawing.exe anyone will be able to open them without having the edrawing software.

Hello

Indeed it is possible to make a e-Drawing.exe and it keeps the ribs.

The only problem is the size of the file. For a basic part (a tube with 6 holes) I go from 13kb to 17mb.

This is normal since the file integrates the software and the weight should not be an issue, you can use wetransfer which is a free exchange platform.

Hello, the problem with eDrawings in .exe is that they are often put into potential viruses in the companies to which they are sent.....

Hello

And an unearthing from 2016

Just send them Zipped. A Zip point is not considered an executable so it passes the antivirus barrier.
On the other hand, it is better in everyday life to switch all ZIP and other compression formats to the antivirus on arrival.

Kind regards
