Painting on a surface under catia

Painting on a Catia surface

  1. What is the question of measuring an area under Catia?
  2. To know how much paint to apply?
  3. or color a part face under catia (render)?

Hello

For colors, simply select the face of the object on which you want to change color and change the color using the "graphic properties" icon bar.

Hello stopped.

If what you're looking to do is paint (not solid colors) on a CATIA side.

One solution is to apply a material and modify the image of the rendering of this material.

Limitation of "deformation" if the object to be painted is a (non-flat) design surface.

Hello

Thank you for your interest in my question as a Boeotian... But what I'm looking for in this case is not to change the color of my surface, but rather to write something on it (text or decoration)... but it's true that I didn't really look for the "rendering" menus...

Hello

If you don't go through a rendering (which will only be visible in a display with realistic rendering and therefore potentially slower), you have to make outlines via sketches. Then you extrude or hollow them or you fill it with surface.

To get text outlines => make a text box in a drawing with the desired content and save it as dxf => open the dxf and copy-paste the text into a sketch. To keep the text "monobloc", add a relative fixity constraint (the "paperclip" symbol) in the sketch.
