Groove drilling

Hello!

A quick question, I have this hole to do on SolidWorks, but I'm a little dry on how to do it. It is a milled hole on the base, extended like a groove over 4 mm. (I attached a quick 2D map to this message).

If anyone knows how to do it... Thank you all!

Hello

For my part; I will do a material removal from above to the max depth and then I used the chamfer function to finish. Or you can do half of your front view as a sketch and then a second one with the top view make it a swept material removal

Small correction: From SW2015 you can make a countersunk groove via the drilling assistant.

Hi MaD, I tried this function (which I didn't know..), but on display, I only have a drill alone and not the groove, so I'm not very sure of my shot.

Hello.

Try it like this.

The groove function in the drill wizard exists.

Indeed! I just misunderstood the order, I was putting 4mm on the groove length, hence the error!

Thank you all for your answers!
