Is it a minor update, or a major version (windows 8 -> windows 10 for example)?
Have you tried to repair the solidworks installation and reactivate the software?
Otherwise in this case, I think there is only one solution (and the fastest): you have to call the hotline of your supplier Solidworks

Did you deactivate your license before updating?
If this is not the case it could be stuck with the old version of windows
So the best thing to do is to contact your solidworks reseller, to ask them to unlock the license and explain that you have updated your windows
