Hello, I am currently working on a SW2017 license and for a project we had to connect the PC with the license on another network. Then we put the PC back on our network.
The problem is that today, when I open an assembly/part or a plan, all the references are "lost" and when I search for them manually, SW instantly finds the references. However SW systematically loses the references , you have to point them manually each time I open them (despite the assembly records when I have pointed all the parts).
Knowing that the problem does not come from the assemblies since they open without problem from another PC that has not changed network.
How do I get SW to find the reference paths?
Hello
A "pack and go" allows you to start again at 0.
It is a copy of all the files used that can be saved in one place, no more problems with bindings.
Menu: File/pack and go
Then it seems to me that there are several levels of research.
1 level what is in session
2 level search in the folder
3 level indicated folder in which to look
Kind regards
Are you using network drives or directly using the network path?
It's surprising that when recording after giving the right path again, the problem persists.
Thank you for your answers,
We work on network drives, Solid knows the file locations because when you look for the missing component, it points directly to it. We will check if the problem is not with our network, maybe a firewall prevents SW from recovering the components automatically while doing it manually is allowed?
I saw with SW support and they couldn't fix the problem. The problem persists even with a complete reinstallation of SW. There is still the reset of the PC to try.
