Hello
In the captured drawing, can we like 3D completely rename the drawing by a form?
Hello
This feature is available from DriveWorks Solo.
See the comparison between the 3 DriveWorks products : https://www.driveworks.co.uk/products/compare/
(search: "Full control over new drawing file names and locations").
In DriveWorks Xpress, it is possible to associate a drawing per captured 3D file.
DriveWorks Xpress will create a copy of this drawing if the corresponding 3D file is generated (and it will have the same name).
From DriveWorks Solo, drawing files can be controlled like parts and assemblies (name, location, sheets, position/scale/presence of views, position/presence of annotations, etc.)
Hello
Thank you for your question, indeed I have to evaluate this software on which version it will suit us, and what gain it will bring us.
By the way, when you associate a drawing (on "driveworks solo", for example), is it possible to configure the drawing so that:
We only work on single parts and not assemblies. Our goal is to simplify the modeling of our standards which remains the same, except for the values.
Currently, as soon as we have to model a part derived from the standard (i.e. the same geometric shape, we make a take-away composition, modify the 3D in relation to our paintings and hope that the drawing follows.)
What do you think?
Kind regards
Hello
If you haven't seen it yet, I invite you to watch a presentation I recorded last March that dealt precisely with this topic:
Otherwise to answer your questions,
1. In DriveWorks Solo it is possible to control the scale and position of the views so that the drawing is exactly as desired with each generation.
This can be done by exact calculation based on the dimensions of the part or from a table that allows certain scales to be associated with size ranges.

http://help.driveworkssolo.com/Topic/DrawingViewLeftAndTopRule
In DriveWorks Pro it is also possible to specify an area in which a view should be displayed. DriveWorks then calculates the scale and position of the view itself so that it fits in this area. This method is preferred if the scale value is not important (e.g., if no one needs to measure on the plan to obtain dimensions not specified using the scale ratio).

2.-3. In DriveWorks Solo, the annotations and dimensions of each view can be captured.
This allows DriveWorks to move these annotations after the view has changed size and position. Annotations are moved proportionally to the edges of the view to which they were "hooked" during capture in order to maintain the same general arrangement.

In this context, wobbly dimensions can be automatically hidden by SOLIDWORKS (there is a setting for this (Document Properties/Wrap/Hide Wobbly Dimensions or Annotations).
http://help.driveworkssolo.com/Topic/InfoDanglingDimensions
In DriveWorks Pro, it is possible to use the automatic insertion of dimensions and annotations.
This function builds on the SOLIDWORKS feature. It can therefore benefit from a marking of the dimensions for the drawing carried out beforehand.
http://docs.driveworkspro.com/Topic/GTAutoDimensionDrawingView
In this other context, wobbly ribs are generally avoided. But if one mixes the s2 methods, DriveWorks Pro can also remove wobbly ribs from the plane if needed.

http://docs.driveworkspro.com/Topic/GTSetHideDanglingDimensions
It is also possible to request to automatically rearrange annotations.

Hello, thank you for your time and experience.
I'm going to start a 30-day trial, it will be easier to see it concretely. Is the pro version in trial version?
Kind regards
It is possible to ask the publisher directly for a test of the Solo version because it is not inconsistent to self-train to test the product (and therefore to be autonomous for a test).
Indeed, the training manual can be read and understood in 2 days (if you are not bothered by the production :-) ).
This then leaves enough time to take advantage of the evaluation period to test the software on your designs.
For information, the training courses we offer on DriveWorks Solo vary from 2 to 5 days (depending on the project and the level of support desired).
For DriveWorks Pro, it will be possible to try the product as well but with minimal training. Otherwise, it would be difficult to exploit the full extent of its possibilities.
Indeed, for DriveWorks Pro, our support can last up to 15 days (depending on the project or modules to be implemented).
It is also possible to find a compromise:
Thank you for your answer and your time, I leave it to your advice
