Can we use an external STL file in an assembly to form a single part?

Assembly complete and I want to add a downloaded item in SLT format. If possible, how to proceed!?

Hello 

In STL format it is not possible but you just have to open it and save it as a  .sldprt and then you can integrate it into your assembly.

Yes I had tried this solution there in 1st and it didn't work. I would do it again it costs nothing. Thanks again
