Part to be made in manufacturing

Hi all.

Here is an attached part that I made with the smoothing function, so far nothing too complicated.

Only, for the sake of convenience,  my manufacturer asks me if it has been possible for me to provide him with a DXF file of this part IN UNFOLDED STATE!!

Does anyone have the solution?

Thanks in advance

For an unfolded one, you have to go through the sheet metal module.

Can you attach the Solidworks native .sldprt?

Hello

We can use the convert to sheet metal function to have a sheet metal with a volume body, and then we can unfold it.

I tried the convert to sheet metal function, but I think the part is too complex for solidworks or I don't have to use the correct options of the function

I advise you to redraw your piece with the "transition fold" function

Keep your original part to have the right basic sketches and then run the function.

On the other hand, having a curve will cause problems when unfolding.

with the transition fold.

Edit: so solution that Bart described before. "Let's give Bart ... "

Hello

Do you know if your part will be made by rolling or canging?

Do you know where the solder joint will be located?

I don't know how he's going to direct the play.

In any case, thank you for your answers, I was able to provide him with a DXF unfolded part of my basic part using the folding function that I didn't know and that looks really good to me.
