Part in Assembly Automatically Read-Only

Hello

I've been using Solidworks 2016 for a few days (until recently I was using SW2012) and when I'm in an assembly and I want to open a part in it, it automatically opens in read-only, how can I fix that, please? (Knowing that in the part properties, the read-only box is unchecked.)
And in the SW>External References system options> the "open referenced documents read-only" cache is unchecked as well.

I didn't have this problem on SW2012.

Do you have the latest SP3 version installed. I had encountered this problem which had been fixed by the update

First thing to check: is it the 2016 SP3 version? It was released 2 weeks ago and solves a lot of bugs!

You have to go to the "?" About SolidWorks menu.

If it's SP2? you have to go to the SolidWorks website to do the update.

Hello 

 

I have the SP3 version installed.
And I think the problem solved itself because this morning SW no longer opens the parts in read-only mode.
