Multibody part

Hello
I would like to know if it is possible to dissect a multi-body part and create a step file for each mechanically welded (qty 150 approximately).
This is in order to send them for tube laser cutting.
I have mycadtools except that I don't see which app could do it.

Thank you for your feedback, cordially

Hello

If your bodies are not fused together; Normally, if you save your file in STEP and reopen it by looking in the functions, you should be able to have each body in pieces.
Otherwise you can use the split function

For my part, I send a step with all my tubes together and the laser manufacturer recovers the whole thing and breaks it down himself.
Often it integrates nesting/nesting functions that are very practical for assembly and impossible to draw in solidworks, and for this the position of each tube in the assembly is essential.

Hello
I also proceed like my two comrades, whom I salute in passing.

Hello

That's exactly what I did, sending the multi-body to the step, but the laser technician apparently can't dissect the tubes.
Problem: I have to go through them.
So I'm going to output a file by mechanically welded :pensive:.
Thank you, cordially

Hello;
I wonder what software your laser technician uses... Unless your bodies are fused, it shouldn't have any problems breaking them down.
On the MycadTools side, you can take out a flow sheet with "Cutting Optimization" but it won't be so useful in your case.

Kind regards.

It is possible to make the mortise with the function in the sheet metal tab.
Then you record all the bodies (there may be a macro that does this in auto).
You never know
