SLDRW plan in PDF in different folder

Hello

I want to save the open plan to SolidWorks using a macro.

The data are as follows:

1- PDF file type

2- Name of the original document + the revision

3- Save only 2 sheets

4- Different repertoire from the original one

Can someone help me?

Thank you in advance.

Hello

If you have the MyCadTools suite from Axemble you already have this application, it's BatchConverter.

If not I hope someone can help you, I think @GT22 have a macro of this type.

Hello

If you also use PDM, it is also possible to save a PDF in a different folder. Otherwise you have to see with the macro pros ;-)

Thank you for your answer.

I know batchconverter, but we would like to limit the number of clicks to 1.

we don't have PLM!

Thank you anyway...

Hello

Here are a few ideas:

https://forum.solidworks.com/thread/58376

https://forum.solidworks.com/message/151028#151028

https://forum.solidworks.com/thread/66010

In particular this macro from the last link:

https://forum.solidworks.com/servlet/JiveServlet/download/349790-95401/File%20Save%20As%20PDF%20%26%20DWG.swp.zip

Combine with the others to add the revision and save it to another folder.

Do you have any knowledge of VBA?

Because I made a macro of this type, without taking into account the revision, but it is quite specific to our company (8-digit code without spaces, links for the ERP, takes into account the families of parts to create several links in the ERP, etc...)

On the other hand, to limit it to 2 sheets, I don't know!

Re

BatchConverter once set up correctly (with the right directories, file renaming syntax, file type, ...) will do it in 3 Clicks. : one to launch the app, another to choose the current document and a third to start processing.

The only thing he won't be able to do is to choose only 2 sheets.

Maybe you should ask Axemble to do it and why not also create a more direct command from the SolidWorks file.

To complete what @Coyote says,

You launch the batchconverter in the evening before leaving (every evening or 1 to 2 times a week), you put a "date" filter so that Batchconverter only takes into account the modified files whose date is greater than xx/xx/xxxx. You select your directory(ies) and you leave.............

The next day it's all over. In terms of "clicking" it's downright advantageous if you process the files in bulk.

Hi all

After several tests, it turns out that the most effective solution for our needs is the BatchConverter.

Thank you all for your help.

Kind regards

Hello

FYI we also used BatchConverter before, but:

1) You have to do the manipulation every night, which takes a little time

2) PDFs will only be accessible (or worse, correct) the next day

That's why I created a macro, and we use it every time we archive a shot to the PDM, and in addition, at the end, this macro offers printing.

I also checked that the Windows code and in the SolidWorks properties is the same as a subject is filled in, etc ...

So it's much more convenient for us than BatchConverter, and it only takes 2 or 3 seconds before offering printing!

Thanks for the info. If necessary I will get back to you.

In fact, I created a "Validation date" property in the files to be saved as PDFs. Batchconverter only processes files with this date = on the day of saving.

Kind regards
