Solidworks Task Scheduler

Hello

I would like to schedule the registration of multiple assemblies with several configurations in a JPEG format (the goal is to have photos of each product without saving in JPEG format). I managed to do it but only on the active configuration of a single assembly and I can't find any parameter to save all the configurations.

I would also like the JPEG file name to retrieve the configuration name.

Is it already possible?

Thank you for your help

To do this, either you use a macro (if you know vba or other possible language), or you use an export tool like batchconverter (Visiativ utility)
The Visiativ Mycadtools utilities are paid but possible to try for free (1 month I think)
and allow a lot of things without having to develop a macro:

And for batchconverter help:

Or else have a bit of luck and find a macro that already does the job.

Hello sbadenis,

Thank you for your answer indeed I don't know the vba language at all. I'm going to inquire about Mycadtool because I've already used the 1-month trial version. And given the price per year, it would be silly to do without it.

Do you know if SolidWorks PDM can do this job?

No idea about the PDM, I don't know. @Cyril.f who seems to know him well may be able to answer you on the subject.

Hello

PDM knows how to do it, you just have to create a task that allows you to export in the desired format with a simple right click.
You can then map the export filename according to different variables of the files or basic PDM functions (such as configuration).
Example below for a STEP export
