Transition Fold

Hi all.

New transition crease problem: a straight sheet metal at the beginning but curved at the end. How do I convert it into sheet metal? I tried all the ways but I can't do it anymore. It's been two days of snooping around on the forum but my patience has run out and I'm asking for your help.

The transition folds, once unfolded, should give me the bend lines because we use them to trace them with plasma cutting and bend the sheets in the workshop.

I am attaching the sld file. 2015

Hello

Maybe some interesting information here (see also the comments):

http://www.solidsmack.com/cad/flattening-non-linear-conical-surface-solidworks-is-it-possible/

Here is an example with transition folds, otherwise try with "insert folds" (select an edge, not a face).

Good luck.

Hello

The problem with your file is that you start from a volume function, use the sheet metal directly with the transition fold function.

@coyote: I tried with transition folds but they all started from a single point. I don't understand why.

Thank you anyway:) And especially sorry for the delay in response but we have a lot of work at the moment.
