Traditional Sliding Gate under SolidWorks

Good evening everyone,

Small personal project, I would like to make the motorized sliding gate + door of my humble home.

I am looking for an example of modeling a "traditional" steel gate and gate.

Are there portal specialists here?

I'm not in this field but I've already drawn some and I can recommend this video:)

I have a client who does it (modeling controlled by XL under Inventor), necessarily not broadcastable...

There is nothing special.
Have you already defined the motor and the hardware (caster, guide sup)?
Did you draw the general look?

At worst, give me the height of the leaf, free passage and I'll generate one for you as a step.

Hello

Which version of Solidworks are you on???

I'm in the process of making a double leaf with pole dressing for a colleague. But it's nothing complicated, I'll send it to you in PM... If you want.

I sent it to you in PM, it's an example...

Thank you ac cobra 427

it's pal bad at all your portal

For me it's a bit more complicated, it's a sliding and I need the total:

  • The rack
  • casters
  • the ground tread
  • The guidance system
  • Stops
  • etc.....

For my part, I had gone to a DIY store with a notepad, a caliper and a ruler, then I had briefly redesigned the elements

For the elements, I found this site:

Indeed very detailed but there are no 3Ds? It still avoids the trip to the DIY store

Yes, there is a possibility of recovering them a priori.

Hello

If you are a handyman, it is easy to make one, take a car wiper motor connected to a transformer (with electric security), a sprocket and a motorcycle chain, then you extend the chain over the desired length of travel in a U profile fixed on the protail, put limit switches at each end, and order a small relay driver system by remote control easily found on Minilight... x.

@flegendre: can you put the 2 "plans" as attachments. I can't read the dimensions on the integrated images.

attached are the files

You wouldn't prefer a swing gate because in the end it's this base that I have...

I asked my client if he could do it for me.

No, unfortunately, the clapper, it doesn't work....

The beast is created but I can't let it loose in the wild (portailstein?) ...
