For Draftsight Pros

Hi all

I have a simple but very practical question if solved, about Draftsight about the "Export to PDF" feature.

I can't frame my shot. Has anyone had this problem before?

What I'm doing right now I'm using PDFCreator, but I don't think it's great... It's a bit of a DIY.

Thank you and have a good day everyone!

Hello

We also use PDFCreator, I'll look for the export.

In fact, you just have to choose the right format:

ISO A3 for portrait, and ISO A3 Elongated for landscape!

Edit: in fact there is the portrait and the landscape for the ISO A3 or the ISO A3 Elongated, I don't know what the difference is, because the dimensions are the same.

Actually, I'm not sure you're talking about the orientation or the print window.

I didn't have any problems, I think it's because the settings in the print window were good.

So before exporting to PDF, pretend you're printing and adjust the settings correctly so that your preview appears green.

Draftsight, does not make its impression on the current display?

Thank you for the answers.

- I tried in A3 always completely offbeat.

- No, it doesn't export the current window (apparently)

See my attachment, the rectangle represents my plan (I can't communicate it...)

I've tried with several plans and at home it works, do you have the latest version of DraftSight?

When in doubt, make an update it doesn't cost anything!

Otherwise, in your plan, erase everything except the background of the plan we're trying!

But I remain convinced that using PDFCreator is a simple and effective solution.

otherwise in the layer manager are all the layers printable, i.e. in the "PRINT" column, do you have the logo?

- I have the latest version (I installed my new PC last Monday).

- Delete everything except the background plan why? (not working)

- Printed layer: Yes.

I remind you that my problem is the framing and the zoom (out) that I get when exporting the PDF.

I just tried Export to pdf and even if my plan is not centered in my active window, it scales it to my A4 or A3 sheet.

Does it do it on old files, new files or both, if so do you have the possibility to send one or one of your creations for me to try at home?

Isn't there a small entity hidden in the bottom right corner?

When you zoom everything, what display do you get?

I said delete everything except the background plan so that you can post the file here that we try on our workstations!

Isn't there a small entity hidden in the bottom right corner?

When you zoom everything, what display do you get?

Is there a way to select what we want to keep, and remove entities outside the selection? That way I select my outline, and I delete all the outside and I'm certain that I only have my outlining in the layout.

Thank you again for all your answers!

Apart from in the layers, I don't see otherwise.

In the export window on the right, you can select which layers you want to export or not.

Is there a way to select what we want to keep, and remove entities outside the selection?

not to my knowledge (but I only use it basicly)

On the other hand, you can do a relatively large "zoom out" and make large selection squares outside your plane. It should make a distant entity appear, or at least select it (if it exists) and you can delete it.

Hello

To reverse a selection in DraftSight:

You have to select the entities you want to keep, then by holding the SHIT key (or SHIFT) make a rectangle encompassing all the entities in the drawing.

This leaves you with the opposite selection!
