Hello
When I check in a document, I usually use the " replace latest version " option to avoid generating too many file versions.
However, in some cases, the box is grayed out and I can't use this option.
I can't understand the logic behind this option.
When can I or cannot use the " replace latest version " option when archiving?
Thank you
Jérôme

Hello
In my opinion it is that the version should be considered as non-intermediate (the main revisions of the file) or is used by an MEP / assembly as a main revision.
Hello
I omitted the state setting that allows or does not allow version override, but as far as I know, the template parents don't affect whether you can do a version override unless they're checked out.
If for the same part sometimes you can't go that this one is still in the same stream, then it's simply that the file has not evolved. On its own PDM will archive without creating a new version in fact.
