Dimension prefix corresponding to the name of the dimension in a part family

Hi all

I designed a series of non-standardized flanges corresponding to our manufacture with different geometries associated with families of parts to have different configurations.

When drawing the part, I would like the name of the dimension  that is in the sketch of my flange, and that I find in the part family, appear as a prefix of the dimension; for example, the outer diameter initially named "D1@esquisse1" has been changed to "Ø exter" in order to find the dimensions more easily when creating new configurations in the part family.

So I would like that when I quote on my drawing, my dimension becomes, for example, "Ø exter 195" or simply "Ø exter". This will allow me to provide a standard plan accompanied by an excel table with the dimensions corresponding to the configurations to the suppliers who manufacture them. I have many plans of this type with each time a good dozen different ratings.

I couldn't find anything in Solid but maybe I missed it or maybe this feature doesn't exist in which case I will have to manually modify all the dimensions...   :(

Thank you in advance for your contributions

Sebastian

Hello

Why not extract your configuration table and use it in the drawing???

Hello

The option below is suitable:

http://help.solidworks.com/2013/French/SolidWorks/sldworks/c_Hide_Show_Annotations.htm

Displaying the name of the dimensions

To show the names of the ratings :

  •  Click View > Dimension Names or Show/Hide Objects  Tool_Hide_Show_Items_Headsup_View.gif> Show Dimension Tool_View_Dim_Names.gif Names (Aim Up View toolbar).

Hi all

I haven't found an answer that fits, there may not be a feature in Solid that allows you to do this. I'm going to have to change my odds manually

Thank you for your contributions
