Pressure and velocity flow section any pipe

Hello

In FlowSimulation, I am looking to have pressure and velocity readings in different sections of a pipe. On the entrances and exits, no problem with the use of the caps. But in an intermediate section, the software refuses me any geometric description of the desired section, whether it is a plane or a surface.

Need help please, quite urgent. Thank you in advance

The speed is proportional to the section  so according to your section

if you have your flow

your flow rate in or out which must in theory be the same otherwise you have a leak or evapô

Speed proportional to cross-section???!!!! Wow....

Hello François,

Hello

What is the error message, which SW version are you in?

Is it in the analysis of results that you can't display the sections?

Hello

Try by creating volumes where you can make "parameter surfaces" on the surfaces of this volume (for your pressure readings, velocities, etc.). Of course, these volumes must be deactivated.

Hopefully, after creating these volumes, you will just need to rebuild the project and you will be able to access the values on the surfaces of this volume (with FlowSimulation 2015, it works like this). With less luck, you will have to restart the calculation once these volumes have been created.

Generally, you have to think about what you want to observe beforehand and build the necessary volumes before the calculation is launched; It simplifies the rest of the operations!

Have a nice day.

Thank you FloD. Indeed, it's all in the answer.
