Note-taking in Solidworks

Hello

I'm contacting you to find out if there is an easy way to take notes in an assembly file in Solidworks.

I have a lot of notes to take and add to my assembly, it would be an advantage to save them directly in the 3D file, in order to consult and save them easily.

Thank you and have a good day to you,

Just add them in the comments of the file...

Hello

Indeed, in the Manager feature right click "comment" and that's it!

You can also use the Design Workbook.
It opens a Word doc integrated with SolidWorks

Depending on the quantity, indeed the design binder seems to me to be quite suitable, you can even integrate creenshots in it.

Hello

If the "Design Workbook" folder does not appear in the FeatureManager, you can enable it in SW's general options so that it is shown by default. If you save your template, every time you open a new document, you'll have access to the content.

Kind regards
