Assembly display problem on Solidworks Composer

Hi all
I have a problem when I want to open an assembly on Composer, when I drag the assembly into composer there is a load and then the assembly does not appear, I see the creation tree but everything is unchecked and I can't check anything.
The assembly has a lot of parts and it opens in "Complex Assembly Mode" on Solidworks, is there a link?                          (Attached is the photo of Composer)

Do you have an idea?
 Thank you.

Hello

Same problem for me, I only see some pieces, and impossible to check the one that are unchecked....

I noticed that the logo changed depending on whether you could check or not:

- If the component has a SOLIDWORKS logo (part or assembly), it cannot be seen or checked.

- If the component has a logo in the shape of a small green or purple cube, then you can access it in Composer.

The cube-shaped logos correspond to this:

Solidworks had asked us to uncheck, in options/assemblies:

  • Use Complex Assembly Mode
  • Use large design management
  • Automatically load lightweight parts

We manage to open sub-assemblies or unique parts, but not large assemblies. The most surprising thing is that a subset that you manage to open in composer will not be visible inside a large assembly.

I dig....

Hello

Personally, I also had similar problems with elements of my assemblies that appeared in the creation tree but not in the viewport and were not checkable in the creation tree.

By searching the internet and spending 1 week testing different configurations and import solutions, it turns out that the parts required these boxes (see PJ) to be checked!

It's silly because my parts in question are nothing special, but hey, it solved my problem without causing me any more.

Hoping it works for you too!

Kind regards

Hello
How did you manage to get the options for import? Is it on Composer?
Thank you

Hello

I'm having the same problem!

I tried by unchecking the boxes indicated by Imoreau and checking the import options indicated by françois.mohara. The problem remains the same...

Never mind, I'm going to cry silently but knowing that I'm not alone in encountering the problem... Let's hope Solidworks is working on it!

Hello

I encountered the same problem as you on large assemblies, I found a solution and for my part it works. On SW, you have to uncheck the use of the complex assembly mode in "System Options - Assemblies".

Since the import on SW Composer is done correctly, no more display errors.

Hoping it works for you too.

Kind regards

Hello

All SW parts must be in resolved mode.

Otherwise the room volume will not be visible.

Hello

I see that several of you mention the fact that opening the file in light mode is a problem. On the other hand, I can save my assembly in solved mode and deactivate the complex assembly mode, it still opens in light mode.

A solution to solve the problem?

Apparently you also have to uncheck in Performance - Assemblies - Automatically load lightweight components
