I have to make animations of wagons on trajectories (tracks) from time to time. It always looks pretty much the same, 2 wagons connected by a linkage, which circulate on a track.
In animation, I work on movements by positioning keys to define a position of one of the wagons at a given moment.
The problem is that all these little people do as they please! In the mock-up I prepared for you, it doesn't move anymore, with colors in the Motion Manager that "aren't even marked in the manual! "And when I manage to have a coherent cinematic, the video has "parasitic" images: in the middle of the trajectory appears a view of the wagon in the initial position for example! And yet, when I look back at the timetable, I don't have any keys lying around at the time of these problems!
Anyone have to deal with this kind of thing?
I enclose the "model" assembly and the 3 parts (SW2013), a parasolid for those who are in previous version and an image of my chronogram.
_Biellette: 2 Coaxiality (one with each wagon) + 1 Coincidence (1 wagon with the connecting rod)
I don't use an engine function (bad experiences in the past, works every other time, and not easy to modulate given my need). As stated: "In animation, I work on movements by positioning keys to define a position of one of the wagons at a given moment."
PS: I would like to point out that everything goes well in the design environment, the set of wagons moves perfectly following the trajectory and without sacades!
Nice little video! You avoid bringing him back to us this way: in the challenges he would carnage us:-D
Changing the constraints, I'm not convinced (I'll try anyway in case your proposal @gt22), I had come to this method because it was the most fluid in manual movement. And once again, in manual, it goes very, very well.
The movement controlled by a motor doesn't interest me more than that, not flexible enough and takes a long time to adjust when I'm on a large assembly. The wagons do not have a constant speed. With the keys, just slide them out.
@coyote, the constraints of trajectories... In the design mode, not in animation? It gave me the same problems some time ago.
But as for animation, are there any who practice among you? And especially on this kind of open trajectory?
Have you tried the "model" on your side?
PS: subscribe to this question if you're interested, it's likely to last!
I re-opened the file... and more sacades... but the 2nd trolley goes loose, the connecting rod turns over!
Anyone have the address of an exorcist?
I did some tests again this morning with the other proposals and it goes wrong at one time or another. Is this module seriously starting to stuff me !!
Would there be SW options to check or not to help a better functioning of the module?
The keys I tried several methods. The one in the example provided, I have disabled the automatic keys and I place them by hand after shifting the time bar. There I move the lead car, and I continue by moving the time bar, and so on.
Now I just tried again with the automatic keys and even effects.
As for the keys to the elements carried out, they appear by themselves. I tried to delete them a first time successfully, then a second time and I came back to the starting point of my question: the time bar turns red at 1.1s and the keys turn red. :-s
HS: For recording I use Xvid MPEG 4 Codec. Very effective for compression.
- move the timebar to the location of the future key (here 1s).
- move the wagon
- insert a new key
- Repeat the operations.
RQ: sometimes the 2nd wagon is positioned oddly, remove the time bar to the correct position of the wagons. Delete the last key. and restart. The why of the mic-mac???? I don't know.
You see it there........ smoke........ Very black........ It's an LCD screen with some SP98 gasoline....... It takes well..... :-D
Your assembly works perfectly, I will try to apply your method strictly. I'll do that a little bit later. And especially on my final assembly, which is much heavier!
To be continued, but thanks for your answers guys.
