Hello
I modelled a single-leaf gate equipped with a small wheel in contact with the ground. The purpose of this digital model is to determine, via a solidworks simulation, a motor torque (and therefore deduce a power) necessary for the opening/closing of the gate.
So I started a motion study, applied a motor on the axis of the wheel, a contact between the wheel and the ground, I put gravity on it too. And that's it, after calculation, the wheel turns well but on itself as if it had no grip on the ground and the gate of course is not driven.
I have browsed forums and help on solidworks, tried to set up a rubber/rubber friction despite that it's always the same thing.
I would like to know if I have forgotten something because I have a rather limited level of knowledge on solidworks???
I'm working on solidworks version 2010 for info. I think I've said it all.
I can possibly transfer my sldw assembly file to you if it's easier.
Thank you for any help you could give me.
